Freelancing

Should you accept every offer?
Keep in mind that you want to offer high-quality work, so don’t necessarily accept every request if you think you’ll have a hard time managing a job or that you’ll deal with it in an approximate way and end up with a sloppy result. I think every job should be done with the same seriousness.

A typical day in Freelance?
I don’t think there is a typical day. It’s always a bit of a new discovery. Sure, routines settle in: you need to move around quite a bit when you’re self-employed. When you don’t have a set office, say in a co-working space like me, you’re much more agile and flexible. Every week, you renew the way you work a little bit.

Was it the right choice?
Being able to manage yourself, and put your own ideas out there and being able to the really work on building close relationships with clients is something quite unique. And I’m lucky to be able to do it every day. So I would say that yes, it’s a good choice if you have a good support system, if you have institutes or organizations to help you along and answer your questions. Financially, of course, it can be a tough choice to make but it’s worth trying.
