Being prepared for entrepreneurship
A piece of advice I always give: Entrepreneurship is a marathon, it’s not a sprint. You know when you’ll start, you don’t know when you’ll finish. And it’s a difficult road. So you need to be ready to face many surprises. It’s an emotional roller coaster. You really need to be prepared for it to be hard… Even when you start out with an idea you adore, a real love story, the job changes over time, it’s very demanding, you need to be prepared for a long-term investment. So you need to think: What will happen if I get married? What will happen with my girlfriend? What takes up a lot of my time? What will happen if I have kids? It’s the same thing if you have passions… Your business, your startup has to become your passion. Otherwise it will be hard to hold up over the long term.
